We are proud signatories of The Armed Forces Covenant and have been since 2018. The covenant supports the entire Armed Forces community – regular personnel, reservists, veterans, families and cadet force personnel.
We have been accredited as meeting the Silver Award standard for the level of support we provide. You can read more below our our pledges and the support that we offer in the sections below.
Our support and pledge
The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge made by the nation and businesses to make sure that those who are serving in the Armed Forces or Armed Forces veterans, and their families, are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged by their service. It supports the specific obligations and requirements of the Armed Forces and the sacrifices made by service personnel, and also by their families.
We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant to show our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces Community. Currently both our core staff are Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, and we take a keen interest in supporting local cadet units. Our recruitment processes and working environment is forces-friendly and we offer a 10% discount to military personnel on all courses.
AFC Employer Recognition Scheme- Silver award winners
We have been recognised under the Employer Recognition Scheme as meeting the Silver award standard for our support to the Armed Forces. We hold Silver level accreditation. This has included raising awareness during Armed Forces Week, employing military personnel, supporting local cadet forces and providing a discount on our training courses. Lifesaver First Aid Services was awarded this in 2022, at a presentation at HMS King Alfred Naval Base in Portsmouth.
