Course overview

Our excellent First Aid Essentials course covers a range of emergency first aid techniques which are applicable in a wide range of circumstances. This course will equip you to perform life-saving first aid should it ever be required.  

We can deliver this course at your venue, anywhere in Kent. We have previously delivered courses in Dover, Deal, Folkestone, Maidstone, Canterbury and Ashford. 

 

The course covers the following topics:

 

  • The role of the First Aider
  • Managing an emergency
  • Communication and Casualty Care
  • The Primary Assessment
  • Resuscitation techniques
  • Recovery Position
  • Choking
  • Seizures
  • Shock
  • External Bleeding
  • Minor Injuries

Who is this course for?

This course would be ideal for anyone who would like a thorough understanding of emergency first aid techniques, but doesn’t require it for a workplace or other role.

Timings

Our First Aid Essentials course is 6 hours, excluding breaks, over a minimum of one day. 

Courses usually assemble ready to begin at 9am and finish each day at 5pm with breaks throughout the day. Students must attend the whole course to be able to receive their certificate. 

Certificates

When you successfully complete a course you will be sent a secure PDF certificate to print and proudly display in your workplace. 

We can also provide full colour, hard copy certificates with industry-leading security features or credit card style plastic certificates on request. Additional charges apply, please contact us for more details.  

Certificates are valid for three years. After this you must attend the full course again to requalify. Annual refresher training is strongly recommended.
